Shirt #23 - The Perfect Combination

Manufacturer: Marc Ecko Enterprises
Brand: Eckō Unlimited, Since 1972
Shirt Name: Eckō Unltd. Classic Polo
Year Purchased: 2007

How often do you find the perfect combination? Well this shirt is one half of a perfect combination when I pair it with my grey with gold trim Jordan 16.5's. When I put that outfit on I hear Perfect Combination playing in the back of my head. You know, the Stacy Lattisaw & Johnny Gill song...good grief, just listen to the song.

How can you separate a man from the shirt that creates songs of love in his head?

Now I know, the shirt is short, but like I've said before, that's the torture these shirt designers put the big man through. I have a long torso and short legs. But still this is a nice shirt. This is my shirt!

Shirt #22 - Did Someone Say Hawaii?

Manufacturer: Ralph Lauren
Brand: Polo Ralph Lauren
Shirt Name: The Island Polo
Year Purchased: 2006

First things first, Happy Birthday Brian (my youngest brother).  I blog this shirt in honor of you and your sense of style.

My friends, I am on Vacation!  No really I am.  I'm sitting in a hotel in sweltering Washing DC in the summer so what better thing to write about than a summery Hawaiian style polo shirt from well  Polo.  For this shirt, I really cannot remember why I bought it.  I know it wasn't for a trip to the Caribbean although that would have been a good reason.  Actually, I think I bought it because I really liked it.  Or at least liked the brand.  I know, old story, Mike has brand envy so he's loaded up his closet with all of the brands he wanted as a kid...blah blah blah.  I'll spare you the brand fascination details here but you can read more about them in my posts for Shirt #5 and Shirt #6.

To be honest, I'm not in love with this shirt, but I do throw it on every once in a while just because. Because what you ask? I don't know, just accept it.  I will say however that I do look good in blue.  Hmm...maybe I like this one after all.  It does fit me well unlike the shirts that I own that are too small or too big.  I really don't have that many shirts that fit me just right.

So, what do you think?

Shirt #21 - If You With Me Throw Up The Diamond One Time!

Manufacturer: Rocawear Apparel
Brand: Rocawear
Shirt Name: ROC Master of the Craft Tee
Year Purchased: 2008

OK, look past all the wrinkles.  Seriously, I know there are a bunch of them, but ignore them for a moment and embrace the visual.  Appreciate the statement.  Master of the Craft (PERIOD - spelled for emphasis).  Honestly, looking at this shirt makes me think of that Jay-Z song.  You know, What They Gonna Do - Part II, off the Blueprint 2 album.
If you with me throw up the diamond one time
Ladies if you with me grind to the baseline
Fellas don't be scared to grab her from behind
And make her show out her wild side, throw out her backside

Only this that's a little suspect about this shirt is the image kinda looks like a bib...doesn't it.  Have another look.  It works though. Because when I drop food on my shirt I can play it off and act like it's OK because I have a bib.
